Fused Glass Workshops
Try a fused glass workshop in a fun and casual atmosphere at the Tiffany Runge Glass studio in Echo Bay, Ontario.
Join a workshop on your own or arrange a private workshop group with friends and family. It’s a great way to celebrate a birthday or other special day! Workshops are project-based and can be completed in one session. Completed projects will be fused and available for pickup at a later date. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required to reserve your dates. E-transfer is a payment option for workshops – please use tiffany@tpgd.ca as the e-transfer email.
Please bring your signed Waiver to your workshop (or email/text a photo). The waiver will cover you for the calendar year.

Workshop Descriptions
Garden Mushroom Magic
Create three glass mushrooms to decorate your garden! Suitable for beginners. Copper stems complete your finished mushroom caps. All fusing glass, equipment and materials are supplied. Glass cutting is recommended to enhance your designs and will be taught as needed.
Skill level: Beginner or intermediate. Minimum age: 14.
Scenic Stand-Up
Design your own water, land or still-life scene with glass, which is then kiln-fired twice to achieve the final curved standing piece. Finished size is about 12” x 7.” All materials are supplied in this one-session workshop. Glass cutting is recommended to enhance your design and will be taught as needed.
Skill level: Beginner or Intermediate. Minimum age: 14.
Tree of Seasons Lantern
Beginners welcome! A great first project. Create a stunning fused glass 4-panel lantern with Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter trees. A white or off-white metal lantern for indoor/outdoor use is included. All fusing glass, equipment and materials are supplied. Glass cutting is taught at this popular workshop.
Skill level: Beginner. Minimum age: 14.
Garden Mandala
Create a fused glass mandala for your garden or patio. Mandalas are created using symmetry, geometry and colour patterns in a circular design. A metal rust-resistant 20” shepherd’s hook to display your finished piece is included. All materials are supplied in this one-session workshop. Approximately 6-7” diameter. Glass cutting will be taught as needed. A second mandala base and display is available for purchase if you finish early and want to make one more.
Skill level: Beginner. Minimum age: 14.
Garden Suncatchers
Create two or three suncatchers. A variety of shapes is supplied, you decorate however you like. Approximate size 4”- 5” tall/wide. No glass cutting required but will be taught on request. Suitable for absolute beginners! All fusing glass and materials for two or three pieces are included.
Skill level: Beginner. Minimum age: 9.
Glass Garden Art & Stand
Create an 8” round glass design to proudly display in your garden. Sturdy wrought iron garden stand (48” high) and all glass supplied. You should have some prior glass cutting experience.
Skill level: Intermediate/Advanced. Minimum age: 14.
Wind Chimes
Choose either 12” x 3”, 9” x 4” or 6” x 6” clear glass bases and separate chime bases, then create your design. After firing, you’ll receive finishing pieces to assemble on your own, or we can do it for you (with your input). All materials supplied. Glass cutting is recommended to enhance your designs.
Skill level: Beginner. Minimum age: 14.
Fused Glass Plate or Bowl or 4-Piece Coaster Set
Want to create something functional as well as fun? Your choice of a fused glass plate or bowl about 7” square OR a set of four 4”x4” glass coasters which includes a display stand (not exactly as shown). Choose your own design or we supply ideas. Glass cutting is recommended to enhance your designs and will be taught as needed. Glass colours are subject to availability.
Skill level: Beginner. Minimum age: 14.
Garden Friends
Create up to 4 pieces of garden art to spruce up your potted plants or outdoor garden! Flower, bird, bug and sun designs are just some ideas you can try. Glass cutting is recommended to enhance your designs and will be taught at this class if requested. All glass and materials are included.
Skill level: Beginner. Minimum age: 9.
Birds on Branches
Cut white fusing glass on a black base to create branches using the ‘negative space’ concept, then construct your cardinals and decorate to finish. You’ve just created a beautiful keepsake in glass!
Your choice of a 12” x 6” piece, or two 6” x 6” pieces which can be hung on a wall or displayed on a stand. All fusing glass and materials are supplied. Prior glass cutting experience is required for this workshop.
Skill level: Intermediate. Minimum age: 14.
Christmas Ornaments
Create four or five Christmas ornaments for giving or keep your creations for yourself! A variety of shapes and all glass and materials are supplied; decorate as you please. No need for glass cutting. Suitable for children as young as 9.
Skill level: Beginner. Minimum age: 9.
